Day 01: Arrival at NJP / IXB – Transfer to Gangtok
On arrival at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Terminus (Siliguri), meet our representative for your onward journey to Gangtok— approximately 135 km (3–4 hours) drive. Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim, is known for its scenic beauty, monasteries, and vibrant culture. It is truly a traveler’s paradise, offering peace, adventure, and natural charm. After check-in at the hotel, spend the evening at leisure exploring M.G. Marg and the local market. Overnight stay in Gangtok.
Day 02: Gangtok – Lachen (North Sikkim)
After breakfast, depart for Lachen (approx. 125 km / 5–6 hours). The vehicle will report at Vajra Stand by 9:30 AM for permit formalities before departure. En route, enjoy the beautiful landscapes and stop at Chungthang, a picturesque mountain village. Later continue to Lachen, located at an altitude of 8,500 ft. Check-in at the hotel and enjoy a welcome tea. The remote beauty and serenity of this village are unmatched. Dinner and overnight stay at Lachen.
Day 03 : Lachen – Gurudongmar Lake – Lachung
Early morning, after breakfast, proceed to the sacred Gurudongmar Lake (17,800 ft / approx. 3-hour drive one way).
The lake remains frozen during winter except for a small stretch that never freezes — a site of deep religious significance. The region is often covered with snow from December to April. After sightseeing, return to Lachen for lunch, then drive to Lachung (approx. 50 km / 2 hours). Dinner and overnight stay at Lachung.
Day 04: Lachung – Yumthang Valley – Gangtok
After an early breakfast, drive to Yumthang Valley (11,800 ft / 25 km / 2 hours), popularly known as the Valley of Flowers, This picturesque valley, surrounded by snow-capped peaks and colorful rhododendron forests, remains covered with snow for much of the year. Spend some time enjoying the beauty of the valley. Return to the hotel for lunch (or packed lunch), then proceed back to Gangtok (130 km / approx. 5 hours). Overnight stay in Gangtok
Day 05: Gangtok – NJP / IXB (Departure)
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP)— approximately 130 km (4–5 hours). The drive along the Teesta River offers beautiful views. En route, stop briefly at Jorethang / Melli or Coronation Bridge (time permitting) for refreshments and photography. Guests are advised to start early to avoid traffic. Tour ends with sweet memories of Sikkim.
